Chris "Silky Smooth" Millington, born in Montreal, Quebec is an R&B, Blues Pop singer/songwriter now residing in Morocco. Chris has spent this past year writing, following more than a decade of touring Internationally in Asia, the Middle East and Northern Africa, and is now ready to focus on getting back into the recording scene.

 

Chris has entertained audiences in Morocco, Algiers, Dubai, Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, China, and Korea with his signature high energy performances and silky smooth vocals. He is popularly known by Asian audiences simply as “Silky”, attributed to Chris’ vocals being “smooth like silk”, according to fans and audience members.

 

Chris began his career in show business touring Canada with the Transformation Band in 1978, and landed his first recording contract with UNIDISE Records in 1981. In 1990, Chris and his cousin, Spark Davidson (now 4 In Da Morning Records CEO and Owner), formed The Portfolio Band, a vocal group, which received an award for vocal performance and song writing. In 1994, Chris recorded another album under the name of Khris Wills, entitled O Carol, which comprised a remake of four Paul Anka songs along with four original songs. He joined The Secret Project band in 1995 and returned to the studio where the band recorded and released an 11 song CD, for which Chris wrote the song “Over & Over”, which played radio stations across Canada and in Europe.

 

With popularity growing Overseas, Chris formed the self-titled Chris Millington Band, in 1997, and toured North Africa for 3 years. Chris then joined the Tall Beat band and toured the Middle East until 2002 then separated from the group to journey throughout Asia on his own. Chris went on to sing and perform in night clubs and for International Hotels in Japan, Hong Kong and Indonesia. Chris “Silky Smooth” Millington, aka Silky, has been singing, writing songs and performing for audiences around the world for nearly three decades.

 

A career singer, song writer and performer, Chris landed his first recording contract in 1981 recording and promoting the self titled album "Chris Mills" in Canada and the United States touring Radio Stations and making TV appearances. This success was followed up with the first single, "Never Lover", then by the single "Shakedown". Along with Secret Project Band Members, Anna Liana and G-Force, Chris once again toured Radio and TV stations across Canada to perform and promote the "Remembering Disco" CD, before forming his own Band and heading overseas.

 

After more than three decades of entertaining audiences in North America, Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa, Chris "Silky Smooth" Millington is stepping into the recording studio to share his gift with you, trusting that it shall provide all his needs as he shares his silky smooth vocals.
