Days of 8ight is a husband and wife duo based out of Denver, Colorado and have been performing together for the past 15 years. They have a diverse musical style and their repertoire ranges from the 60's to present day which includes jazz, Soul, R&B, Dance, Pop and even Hip Hop. Traveling around the world Days of 8ight have excited audiences with their unique blend of talent and music to rave review wherever they've graced the stage.
Darlene has always had a love for the Performing Arts, a passion for music, theater and dance! She attended “The School Of The Arts” and Wright State University, where she was selected for private vocal lessons, and performed in various musical productions such as “Annie”, “Pirates of Pinzants”, and “South Pacific”, to name a few. Over the years, Darlene was invited to use her vocal gifts and abilities at various functions and events, throughout many cities.
Lawrence, born in the Bronx (New York City) grew loving all kinds of music. Began playing piano for a local church he attended at the age of 14 years old. After playing with several very talented local Gospel, R&B and Jazz artists, his first major break came touring the world with recording artist Sister Sledge and he never looked back. He's recorded on projects for The Followers of Christ “You can be a Winner” featuring DJ Rogers & Jennifer Holiday, Heritage Christian Center “Fire in the Rookies 2000” feat. Tim Minor, Alvin Slaughter & Marvin Winans to name a few.
