Began playing cello at the age of 8 until around 15. Studied alto saxophone in high school. Began playing in basement Rock n' Roll bands as a singer, keyboardist and saxophonist.

In college he enrolled in a comprehensive 3 year music program, the 3rd year of which focused on jazz arranging, composition and improvisation, piano, voice and saxophone.

 

As Josh puts it he played with a gazillion bands in a myriad of styles from progressive jazz, to bebop, funk bands, pop bands, choral ensembles, country music and world-beat bands. Television and live concert appearances and tours with acclaimed French Quebec artists including Eric Lapointe, Daniel Lavoie and Michel Pagliaro. Josh has recorded two original Cd's.​
