LaShonda Reese, a native of Dallas, Texas, was seemingly born to entertain! With an electrifying voice, an arresting smile and a natural flair for showmanship, LaShonda has built a fertile career as a multi-talented entertainer!

For the past two years, LaShonda has entranced visitors along the Las Vegas strip four to five-nights-a-week or more, as the inaugural leading lady at one of the city’s most exciting new offerings, The Mayfair Supper Club in the gargantuan Bellagio Hotel which opened on the eve of the pandemic. LaShonda brought a “boatload” of prior experiences from a professional entertainment career spanning over 30 years and graciously entertained audiences after America shut down in March 2020.

In the very embryonic stages of her career, LaShonda landed a solo recording deal with Motown Records. During her tenure there, she recorded a duet, “Hand in Hand”, with her label mates and pop stalwarts 98 Degrees, which appeared on their self-titled album; and recorded songs featured in the motion picture soundtrack for “The Associate”, starring Whoopi Goldberg.

She has consistently performed nationally and internationally and was the opening act for the late Maya Angelou’s Unique Lives & Experiences Tour. She has made TV appearances, worked and toured as a backup and lead vocalist with several celebrated recording stars, including Brian McKnight, jazz trumpeter Chris Botti, Michelle Williams (former member of Destiny's Child), J.T. Taylor (original lead singer of Kool & The Gang), Faith Evans and Kelly Price.

In parallel with her music career, LaShonda has amassed an impressive theatrical resume and is making burgeoning strides as an actress.

Her first big break came when she was cast for the role of Sarabi (The Queen) for a national tour of Disney’s, “The Lion King” and later made her Broadway debut in the same production covering several roles. After witnessing her stellar performance in David E. Talbert’sHis Woman His Wife”, which co-starred Malik Yoba, Stephanie Mills and Tommy Ford, noted writer/producer/director Tyler Perry personally cast her to play the antagonist in his stage play “Behind Closed Doors”.

LaShonda launched her one-woman show, directed by Tony Award winning producer and Emmy Award nominated choreographer George W. Faison, which debuted at the popular Metropolitan Room in New York City. Still possessing her down-home charm and southern sophistication, LaShonda, with her sultry, saccharine voice and vivacious personality, continues to leave indelible imprints on her impressive entertainment career and the best is still yet to come!
