Introduced to the Steelpan at the age of 5 by father Salah Wilson, Fatima Wilson started performing alongside her 5 siblings, where they were known as Salah and Family Steelpan Workshop.
 

Performed for thousands of events and participated in many annual competitions, her vision is one just like her father's as she continues to teach the steelpan as an extra curriculum program in the E.M.S.B school system. To continue in keeping and growing the steelpan movement in Montreal where it becomes a recognized credited program, doing it one note at a time.

 

She attended McGill Schulich Conservatory and began teaching the steelpan within the E.M.S.B School board in 2005, which all started in 1991 by herfather. Today, She is presently the coordinator for the steelpan program for over 300 students spanning across 5 E.M.S.B. schools while in the process of completing her studies to obtain her teaching degree at Concordia University.
