She comes across a photo of Julio Fernandez a club promoter advertising his next event.

Michelle first New York meeting with a record label executive.
After the meeting, where the executive showed no interest in signing her, Michelle feels even more determined to succeed. Walking down the street, she sings "On Top of the World," declaring her name
will shine in lights and her songs will play on the radio.
Michelle performs in the subway. There by pure chance is Julio. He remembers her from Instagram.
Julio invites Michelle to one of his events. Michelle sings "Curious"
Michelle returns to Atlanta for a weekend visit. Gets into a heated argument with her dad. He wants her to stop pursing her music career. She's not having it.
He suffers a heart attack.
Michelle discovers her dad's hidden secret that he was a famous musician in Europe before she was born and was ripped off by a record label and shady manager.
Julio fly's to Atlanta for the funeral services. Michelle eventually shares her dad's hidden secret with him.
Back in New York, Julio connects with Mark Sanford, a Walls Street hedge fund manager who is interested in investing into the musical. He's invited to Michelle's recording session.
Julio tells his mother, Maria, that he’s found the love of his life in Michelle. Maria smiles, already dreaming
of Julio giving her at least seven grandchildren!

Devon overhears Mark Sanford telephone conversation. Something doesn't sound right. Devon feels some shady business is going on and thinks it has to do with the production.
Performance
Mark Sanford, Walls Street Hedge Fund Manager arrested for money laundering and wire fraud. All production of the musical is halted because all investments by Mark has been seized. Performers are devastated!
Three months after Mark's arrest Michelle is distraught and thinking about giving up. Julio pushes her to stay positive. Says they will come up with the financing some kind of way to restart the production of the musical.
Michelle receives an unexpected package from Lieberman & Associates LLP. Perplexed, as she has no idea who they are, she learns that she and her mother are requested to attend a meeting about an urgent matter.
Mr. Lieberman reveals that he and Michelle's dad became close friends 30 years ago after a life-changing event.
"I was in a car accident and unconscious. Your dad, passing by, pulled me from the vehicle just before it caught fire. He saved my life. While visiting me in the hospital, he shared his struggle with a European record company that owed him money.
Despite his protests, I promised to help. Today, I’m honored to inform you and your mother that we won
a $2.5M judgment on his behalf, which will be transferred to your mother immediately".
After the meeting with Mr. Lieberman, Michelle's mother insisted on giving her half of the settlement. Reluctantly, Michelle accepted and used a portion of the funds to revive the musical, determined to honor her father’s legacy. The cast reunites in rehearsal, filled with enthusiasm, as Michelle leads them with a powerful rendition of "Gotta Work."
